Team Coaching

What’s stopping your team from doing their best work?

Let’s find out and rise above it!

Too often, even great teams with important goals feel stuck, thwarted, and held back.

I’ve seen this time after time in my experiences over the last 20 years, first as an Air Force Officer and then as an IT consultant.

Teams and organizations get frustrated by things like not having enough time, too few resources, too much bureaucracy and red tape, entrenched silos, or running from crisis to crisis.

Worst of all, these challenges are too often self-inflicted. The way that a team is working is itself preventing the team from doing their best work!

This is where coaching can help. The same kind of deep work that helps a person grow, can help a team have their own profound shift!

Coaching can be transformative for teams that are:

Feeling the pain of running up against the limitations of their current way of being.

Ready to create new ways of relating and communicating where ideas flow, hidden potential is released, and team efforts feel aligned and in sync.

Can open yourself up to honest conversations, regular reflection on your progress, and consistent daily practices that enable change.

Determined to build a greater sense of meaning, belonging, connection, or purpose.

Wrestling with an organizational culture that lacks energy and inspiration.

Finding that innovation and fresh thinking have given way to risk avoidance and entrenched systems.

Eager to build healthier rhythms that allow for productivity without exhaustion or burnout.

What does team coaching
look like?

Together we begin by investigating the team’s current underlying operating system. We dig into what is working and what needs to be reimagined, rewritten, or reinvented.

Next, we examine foundational assumptions, such as how power is shared and decisions are made. We look at how the team convenes and coordinates. We explore how the organization can scale without losing its soul.

We look at how to organize around an inspiring purpose rather than just the bottom line. This happens through a series of one-on-one and team conversations that allow you to identify the top issues holding you back.

You don’t have to become an expert in these areas to grow, but having a coach who understands them and guides you through a process to use them to your advantage can make all the difference in the world.

Our lives don’t change because of new thinking or new beliefs. They change because we develop new moves, new skills, new “muscles”, new habits that we choose every day that are grounded in that new thinking and new beliefs.
